Inside Strap Design
US PATENT # 5,316,175

Outside Strap Design
US PATENT # 5,762,233
  • Single piece construction berm
No parts to lose or additional inventory to keep

  • Patented berm brace assembly that requires no assembly just a simple pull on the side wall or brace.
No inserting braces into pockets as with the competitive brand berms pictured below.

  • Side wall is reinforced with aluminum stay with a triangular geometry.
In the event of a spill, there is a semi-rigid wall support to work with instead of a floating wall that is susceptible to containment failure.
  • Double ribbed aluminum stays supporting the berm side walls
Strong, durable, and lightweight. In the event that a brace is bent, the aluminum stay can be bend back into position
  • All berm side walls have a 1" top hem
Provides added strength and integrity to the secondary containment berm and prevents fabric fraying
  • All stess area welds are done with Radio Frequency (RF) welds
RF welding is the strongest possible bond with thermo plastic fabrics. Using RF to weld berms prevents leaks at the seams as seen with other bonding technologies. RF welding helps ensure a longer containment berm life expectancy and reduces potential berm failure to a minimum.
  • All Basic Concepts secondary containment berms are designed with wrap around diagonal welds
Corners a a weak point on most berms, not Basic Concept berms. By removing welds from the corners, we have eliminated the issues associated with corner design.
  • Basic Concepts secondary containment berms are able to be staked down at 2 ft intervals.
Allows user to secure the berm down and eliminate wind a placement issues.
